Holly L. Peterson, Ph.D.

Dr. Peterson's work is published in journals like Policy Studies Journal, Review of Public Policy, Society of Natural Resources, and Risk, Hazards & Crisis in Public Policy. She is an Associate Editor with Policy Studies Journal and her current research explores policy processes, public policy for vulnerable groups, and environmental policy narratives. She is interested in multidisciplinary collaboration and community agency.

 

Dr. Peterson came to Louisiana State University from University of South Alabama after graduating from Oregon State University’s School of Public Policy. She began her Ph.D. at Virginia Tech’s Center for Public Administration and Policy, after completing a Master of Public Administration at Auburn University Montgomery. Before graduate school, she worked in operations and risk management for Planned Parenthood of Alabama. She holds a B.A. double major in Sociology and English from Auburn University Montgomery and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky.

She currently lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with her spouse, children, cats, and dogs.
